KRuHA (People’s Coalition on Rights to Water)

Kruha (People's Coalition for the Rights to Water) was established in 2002 as response of CSO in Indonesia  to WB's loan in water resource sector, which was approved buy the government in 1990, and aimed to restructure the water resources policy in Indonesia. Its mission is to promote community-based water resources managment through water resources advocacy, and to strenghten public control and access to clean water.
 
It's also actively involved in national and international campaigns against water privatization and pursue the fulfillment of rights to water. Up to April 2007, more than 30 civil society groups have joined Kruha.
